Homeless photographers capture Houston

Photographer and writer Terry Swenson took pictures of homeless people in downtown Houston for years before she decided she had things backward.

Next Swenson approached the president and CEO of Search, Thao Costis. Swenson explained that she was looking for Search clients who were interested in the photography experiment and willing to follow her simple rules.

Soon 48 volunteers promised to use the disposable cameras to document their lives, return the cameras at the end of five days and allow Swenson to show their work in “Picture This.”
