immediate needs

SEARCH Homeless Services was founded by a small group of local volunteers. More than 20 years later, volunteers continue to be integral to SEARCH’s success.
Without volunteer support, SEARCH would not be able to provide essential services to its clients - some 10,000 individuals each year who are experiencing homelessness in Houston.
We welcome dedicated volunteers to assist staff in making a positive difference in the lives of homeless men, women and children.
Our volunteer opportunities range from preparing lunch to tutoring adults in our Adult Learning Center, from working with children at SEARCH’s House of Tiny Treasures, to playing bingo with day shelter clients at our Resource Center. By spending two or three hours at SEARCH, you make a big difference in the lives of people living in shelters or on the streets.
