Please consider three ways to help SEARCH Homeless Services:

Unrestricted Fund

Every dollar donated to SEARCH enables us to provide quality programs and services, and help people to get back on their feet. Professional staff work one-on-one with individuals who are homeless, providing hope and encouragement.

Programs

SEARCH Homeless Services specializes in skilled case management (or life coaching), working with families, women and children, and men to create step-by-step economic stability and wholeness plans that help people get “back on their feet.”

• Engagement: Mobile Outreach and Resource Center
• Stabilization: Counseling
• Adult Education: Adult Learning Center, GED program, non-readers program
• Early Childhood Education: SEARCH’s House of Tiny Treasures
• Employment: Job placement services
• Housing: Supports partnerships with New Hope Housing

Campaigns and Events

Back to School - School supplies and clothes are provided to SEARCH’s House of Tiny Treasures students and our Adult Learning Center students. Staff consults with each family to determine their long- and short-term needs, which will help ensure a successful school year.

Thanksgiving - SEARCH clients who have no place to go for Thanksgiving dinner receive ongoing support. Staff works individually with people, making sure they have the food they need during holiday time.

Holiday Angels- Bring light to lives of those we serve during the holiday season. Contributions help us help over 10,000 families, women and men who are homeless in Houston.

Warm and Wooly - Coats and blankets are purchased and distributed by Mobile Outreach staff to people living on Houston’s streets during the coldest months of the year.

Annual Picnic in the Park - Summer outdoor Fundraising Event at Discovery Green.

Annual Luncheon - Event designed to build awareness about homelessness and honor Houston’s community leaders and business executives who help end homelessness.

Join Friends of SEARCH - For $25 / individual or $50 / family, members are updated monthly with meaningful opportunities to get involved through volunteer and in-kind drives that fit your time and talents.
