Homelessness is a complicated issue that impacts our businesses and out city. Would you like to learn more?

  • Why do people become homeless?
  • How do you explain homelessness to your children?
  • What do you do when you see someone living on the street—what should you say or do?
  • How can you help veterans who are experiencing homelessness?

When you know there are things you can do to help people who have fallen on hard times, call SEARCH.

SEARCH team members will come to your business, your congregation or your service group. SEARCH staff and/or volunteers can tell you how you can help people get back on their feet.

Yes, you can make a difference!

We’ll make a presentation to suit the needs of your group and to fit your schedule. We’ll provide facts and a deeper understanding about the causes of homelessness and answer questions about the best ways you can help individuals and families. We will also explain how you can respond to people asking for handouts.

To arrange for a speaker or a Brown Bag Lunch, contact us at 713-276-3065 or lestes@searchhomeless.org
