2012 Houston Stand Down for Homeless Veterans

The Houston Stand Down is an annual collaborative health and social services fair for homeless veterans.  Each year the VA, community veteran service providers, and homeless services providers like SEARCH, come together to outreach to veterans that may not be aware of all of the different services that they have earned.  More than that, it is a time to honor those that have served our nation and to show them that we have not forgotten our commitment “to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan,” (Abraham Lincoln, 1865)
